The Valpo Parks are reflective of the community's vibrancy and are a visible symbol of the quality of life in Valparaiso.  The Valpo Parks Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, exists to support the Valpo Parks Department. The Foundation often serves as a catalyst to bring projects to fruition, capturing the spirit and character of residents working side-by-side to make our community even stronger. Lori K Bath is proud to support the Valpo Parks Department since 2019.

We love fur-babies here at Lori K Bath! We’ve enjoyed contributing to Lakeshore PAWS yearly. Lakeshore PAWS envisions a culture of compassion and partnership in Northwest Indiana that will one day guarantee every pet has a stable home and care throughout its natural life.

Lori K Bath has sponsored the Elks Lodge since 2019. Elks invest in their communities through programs that help children grow up healthy and drug-free, meet the needs of today’s veterans, and improve the quality of life.

Every day, the Y gives our communities the support it needs to learn, grow and thrive. From advocacy to food security, disease prevention to athletics, affordable childcare to swim lessons… everything the Y does is fueled by supporters like Lori K Bath to helps strengthen our neighborhoods and the people who live there.

Hilltop Neighborhood House began in 1995 as a community resource for its diverse neighborhood, sometimes called “College Hill.” Lori K Bath started donating to Hilltop every Christmas since 2019. Hilltop maintains a food pantry as well as a mobile pantry to serve Valparaiso neighborhoods needing food assistance.  Its new Hilltop Community Garden teaches children about growing food, and supplies the pantry and gardeners with fresh produce.  Its afterschool program offers neighborhood children an evening meal, tutoring, and social time in a safe location.

Last year St. Jude House served more than 500 adults and children, providing more than 10,000 nights of emergency shelter. Our 24-hour crisis line took thousands of calls and our non-residential group programming served hundreds more. We provide the essential basic needs like shelter, food and clothing to those escaping horrific violence with little more than the clothes on their back. We empower our clients to leave behind a life of abuse with our comprehensive and compassionate programming and services.
